Any advice for a gassy baby?

I love my baby so much, but when he's gassy I feel terrible and can't stand to hear him cry.  There are points when he can tolerate his gas and then points when he just cries so hard because it hurts him trying to get them out.  I have moved his legs, rubbed his tummy, gave him gas drops, which seem to help for a few minutes.  Is there anything else I can try? My boyfriend and I feel horrible having to watch him go through this.
