I Think We're Done With Bottles!

On my Facebook page I had asked if anyone had any tips on going from bottle to sippy cup. I took one of the tips and started using sippy cups at lunch and then just slowly started introducing them more and more. Well I think we are all done with formula and bottles!

Korey has been taking sippy cups of milk with no problem anymore. He loves drinking everything out of the sippy cups now, juice, water and milk. It was bitter sweet packing up all the bottles and putting them away. I remember going shopping for those bottles and all the other bottles we tried. I'm being strong through this process of saying good bye to my baby and hello to my little toddler.

Seeing how much he keeps growing still surprises me though. I know that he won't be stopping any time soon but I just wish we could go a little slower. I'm so proud of you duder!

  1. I loved when we switched from bottles to sippy cups. Since we used Dr. Browns there were so many parts, etc to clean and deal with. And luckily my son took to his sippy quite easily.

  4. Aaaw, that's so cool. Kiddies are so surprising. Sometimes they just take to things so easily.

  5. Isn't that the most FREEING thing? LOL! My oldest would never take milk from a sippy but I just eventually had to cut it off. Way to go to your little dude!

  6. I sure wish my kids would slow down. I can hardly remember them as babies!

  7. Yay for Korey! Sippy cups are so much easier to clean, so I am glad we were able to get rid of them right after my son turned 1.

  8. We're to the point that I told my daughter she has to give up sippy cups and only use big girl cups. Being a mom sure does make you feel multiple emotions at once. Happy for their accomplishments but sad they are growing up.

  9. I need to work on this over the summer. It's on my TO DO list. I'm hoping it goes fairly smoothly although my boy is definitely a bottle fan! Good work!

  10. Growing up is so bittersweet! Those things that are a struggle to do ( like give up baba or paci) are kinda sad when they happen.

Lots of fun is coming though! It is an adventure!

  11. Yay! My kiddos loved sippies and even still ask for them on occasion! (Well, my son does and he is 4!) =0)

  13. We're coming up on this transition too! My youngest still takes bottles much of the time, although she likes sippy cups too. Pretty soon I need to start weaning her off... :-(
    STOP GROWING UP, KID!
    LOL.

  14. It took me a little long with my last one, and it was bittersweet, but I am glad it's over with.
In a way the sippy makes them seem a little older, doesn't it?

  15. Sippy cups are great - spillproof! Love no messes. But, at the same time it is sad, another sign of growing up!

  16. I was always caught between proud and sad when my daughter went through these changes. Bottles to sippy cups...sippy cups to big girl cups.....so fun to see them learn and so sad to see the baby become a little person.

  18. That's great! We stopped bottles cold turkey two weeks ago and now my daughter won't drink any milk! Glad to hear it was an easy transition for you. :)

  19. We're working on this, too. Bubbles has been done with BM/formula for awhile, and is drinking her "big girl" milk, but still prefers it out of a bottle for naps & when she's going to bed. She does drink water or milk out of a sippy at lunch, but we're still working on the rest of the time.
