Renting Your Textbooks For College Will Save You Cash!

Textbook rentals are gaining popularity now with college students, as well they should! I know first hand how frustrating it can be to get your list of classes and go shopping in the campus bookstore for your first semester every year. It is always painful once you bring the brand new books upfront and go to cash out, I've heard of people paying close to $1,000 for their college books. That is just outrageous!

If you or one of your children are going back to college, I highly suggest saving yourself some money and choose to rent your textbooks instead. Not only did I waste so much money buying brand new books, the college didn't take back most of them and I just had to toss them. Such a horrible moment just watching money be wasted! If I would have chosen to rent my textbooks instead I wouldn't have had to worry about having useless books lying around.

When I did decide to rent my textbooks I couldn't believe how easy it was for me. You choose the books that you need and they arrive just as good as new books. The condition my rented textbooks were in just surprised me, they are very well taken care of. The extra cash that I had left over from renting I was able to use in the cafeteria on days I forgot my lunch and to use towards clothes shopping for school.

At the end of the semester I returned my rented books and was guaranteed that they would be taken back! My bookshelf was less cluttered and my pocket was fuller from keeping more of my financial aid. If you find yourself   hating the total at the college bookstore and needing more cash for books every semester you need to rent textbooks instead!

  1. Wish I had the option to rent when I was in college! Sounds great that students can do that now :)

  3. Perfect timing! I'm in graduate school and need to order my books for next quarter. I'm definitely checking this out since last semester there were 3 required books and I barely cracked 2 of them because they weren't so useful!
